THE PROCESS
Initial Consultation
When you need excellent creative for your print or web projects, I can cover all of your bases as an experienced graphic designer, an illustrator well versed in both digital and traditional media, and as a nationally exhibiting fine artist with the eye of a painter. I offer copywriting for clients who need assistance with naming new products, titles, taglines, content writing and editing. Contact me to set up a free initial consultation. At this meeting we will discuss your projects, professional goals, objectives, timelines and budget. I will be as accurate as I can with my initial estimate, however, your project may take more or less time than projected.
Kick-Off Meeting
When we decide to work together, at our kick-off meeting we will discuss your project in more depth, explore your visual and brand history, customer profile, visual preferences, copy, and the general look and feel of your project. I will collect content from you such as copy, images and past project visuals.
The Work
Initial Creative As I begin the creative design process I explore and develop concepts, working on the look and feel of your project and overall aesthetics. At the end of this stage I present the initial creative to you, and we discuss the concepts and individual creative elements. Together we determine the strongest creative and discuss ways to refine the design in the chosen direction.
Creative Refinement I refine the concept based on your feedback and present the modified work to you. We discuss the refinements and establish any final adjustments that may be needed.
Further Refinement Once adjustments have been made to the work, we discuss the changes that have been made and decide if more are necessary. This will create either another round of refining, or we will move on toward finalizing creative.
Finalizing Creative I present the final product to you for your approval and signature.
Mechanical or Live Web Media Creation I develop final mechanical files for printing or prepare your web-ready media to go live. I closely follow your project through to completion, making sure that our end product conforms to the specs you have signed off on. I will communicate closely with your printer or hosting site to make sure your project is represented accurately. Your role at this juncture will involve approving printer proofs or reviewing the web media prior to live upload. I am available for ongoing website maintenance and long-term design work.

PAYMENT
All services are $50 an hour. Depending on the scope and size of your project, I require a $250 - $1,000 retainer when you hire me, which will go towards your final balance. I will submit an invoice to you every 2 weeks, payable net 14 days. I will keep meticulous records of the time I spend on your project; please check in with me at any point with questions regarding timeline and balance.
